Become a special events volunteer by joining Zoo Krewe!
The Special Events staff is currently putting together a group of volunteers specifically to help organize and carry out our events. You may be curious about our spelling of “Krewe.” It is pronounced the same as “crew” but it is the name often given to those who organize parades and carnivals, most popularly with Mardi Gras’ groups. We chose this unique spelling because we want our volunteers to have a fun and creative experience while helping the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park!
Upcoming Special Events
Winter Wonderland - December 5th thru 7th, 5 to 8pm
Come see the Lower Zoo transformed to a Winter Wonderland! There will be carolers, story-tellers, kids' crafts, face painting, animal spotlights and games. One of our penguins will be available for an up-close encounter and pictures. The Lions Den Activity Center will become Santa's Workshop where your child can get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
