HABITAT AND RANGE:
Found from Southern Mexico to south of
the Amazon River. They can be found in
semi-open areas from savannas and forest
borders to gardens and parks. |

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
The Blue Grey Tanager is a blue bird,
measuring a length of 18 centimeters.
The soft pastel shade and large
expressive eyes are very attractive
traits. |

ADAPTATIONS:
These tanagers are social birds and
whole families will visit a garden or
fly over. They don’t come to the ground
often, and they flit about like
warblers. |
|
DIET:
Forages in upper levels of trees and
east insects caught in flight, as well
as seeds, nectar and fruit such as
berries, mango, bananas and papaya. |
